Mustang

The resilient and surefooted Mustang is a symbol of the untamed spirit of the American West.

The breed is descended from horses brought to the Americas by Spanish explorers in the 16th century that were either released or escaped and thrived in the rugged landscapes. Wild mustangs still roam across the country’s open spaces today.

The Mustang is a medium-sized horse with a muscular build and expressive eyes, presenting in a wide range of coat colors and patterns. When trained, mustangs excel in various disciplines, showcasing their endurance, intelligence, and strong work ethic. 

Starshine Ranch's Carl Peterson, nostalgic for the mustangs of the Western ranches in his home state of Texas, imported the breed to Jorvik, where it has become a fast favorite of adventurous riders!
