Where is my verification email?

If you have not received a verification email, you can try to re-send the verification email. Please be sure to check both Spam/Junk folders in case your email provider has decided to hide our mail.

To resend the verification mail:

  1. Log in to your My Account page at StarStable.com.
  2. Click on the Verify your email link or click here.
  3. Double check that you are logged in with an email address that you have access to.
  4. Click on the Send Confirmation Email button.
  5. Go to your email inbox and find the message from Star Stable asking you to confirm your address
  6. Click the link to confirm that the address is correct. You may be asked to log in to your account.

Confirming your email address will give you access to in-game chat and the ability to buy Star Rider and Star Coins.

How do I change my email address?

In order to change your email address, you will need to contact Customer Service and they will provide you with instructions.

If you are a Star Rider, please provide us with the last 4 digits of your credit card so we can authenticate your request.

If you are a Free member, we will not change the email address.

How do I change my password?

  1. Log in to your My Account page at StarStable.com.
  2. Click on the Profile tab.
  3. Enter your current password, and then your new password twice.
  4. Click Save Details.

I forgot my password, what should I do?

If you've forgotten your Star Stable password, click here and the follow the instructions.

How can I delete my account?

In order to remove your account, please contact Customer Service who will remove it for you.

Why is my account banned?

Your account can be banned for breaking the Star Stable rules. For the list of our rules please click the Terms and conditions.

Payment Reversals can also lead to to a ban of your Star Stable account, please contact our Customer Service team if you have any questions regarding reversals and please be patient with a response before making any reversals.

Unauthorized chargebacks from the Star Stable Official Shop will also result in your Star Stable account getting banned.

What happens if I download a Cheat Engine?

Downloading a Cheat Engine will get your account automatically banned. However, if you contact our Customer Service Team they will review account and decide whether to remove the ban or not.

Why can't I play on the server I want to?

To maintain a balance on our servers, all players are automatically placed on servers that have space. Which server you are placed on depends on your geographical location. Depending on where you live there may be other servers available for you to choose from.

Can I change servers so I can play with my friends?

It sometimes happens that friends are assigned to different servers. This results in friends not being able to see each other in-game. To be able to change servers log in to your My Account page and select the Move Servers tab. Then follow the instructions for switching servers. Available servers will be shown to you.

What is a Star Rider?

A Star Rider is a paying member with access to the whole game and many exclusive features. To read more about the benefits of being a Star Rider click here.

What does a "Subscription" mean?

All memberships (except for the Lifetime Membership and when you pay with your mobile) are rolling subscriptions, which means you pay a little bit each month. Rolling subscriptions are automatically renewed until they are cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at anytime with this link.

What happens if I pay by mobile?

If you purchase a membership with mobile, your payment with not be recurring (i.e. we will not be able to automatically renew your membership). You will need to manually buy a new membership when your current one expires. You can see the date your membership ends on your profile once logged into our website

What is a Lifetime Star Rider Membership?

The Lifetime Membership gives you full access to Star Stable for as long as Star Stable online is running. This of course includes all regular weekly updates and the (100) Star Coins added every Saturday morning to member accounts. This means you only have to pay once, and then you are a Star Rider permanently. Enjoy all the benefits of being a Star Rider plus 1200 Star Coins instantly added to your account! There is even a special Lifetime shop in Moorland with exclusive Lifetime-only clothing and equipment!

How do you keep my payments secure?

Star Stable does not store any of your payment information, all payments are handled externally and are processed securely by our Payment Providers, such as PayPal and Global Collect to ensure your payment information remains safe.

Do you accept Pre-Paid Visa Cards and Pre-Paid MasterCards?

We do not currently support these pre-paid cards. You will need a credit card or a card that is connected to a bank account.

Can I buy a Star Stable Gift Card?

Of course! We have a special gift shop where you can buy Star Coins and Star Rider memberships complete with a beautifully printed Star Stable greetings card. Just look for the "Shop" link on our site.

What happens to my account when my Star Rider membership expires?

If your membership expires, you will lose access to Star Rider Functions and Star Rider areas, but your account will remain intact, you will keep your level and you will not lose any of your game progress. If you choose to re-activate your membership, you will be able to pick up where you left off. Hint! Leave your important items in your backpack!

What's a redeem code and where can I find one?

Redeem codes are unique codes which offer special treats (e.g. free star coins) and can be used only once. We may hand these out at special events and our birthday (e.g.if we are visiting a horse show).

Some redeem codes may only be valid for some users or in specific countries.

How do I cancel my membership/subscription?

To cancel a subscription, log in to your Star Stable Account, click on the Profile tab and then click Cancel Subscription.

What happens when I cancel my subscription?

When you cancel your subscription, you cancel recurring payments. You will still be a Star Rider for the period of time you have already paid for. Once your Star Rider membership expires, you will still be able to play in the starting areas of the game, and you will not lose any of your game progress. However you will no longer have access to other areas.

Technical Support

Why can't I connect to the game server?

This means that your computer is unable to connect to our servers due to problems with your internet connection or problems with your firewall. If the problem persists, contact Customer Service.

Why is it crashing?

If you experience crashes in the game, please follow the instructions given below. If the problem persist after trying everything on this list, please contact Customer Service with as much information about the problem as possible, such as when the crash appeared, how often it appears or if there is any specific error message when the game crashes etc.

Windows 7/8/10 Users

Make sure the drivers for your graphic card is up to date by following the instructions below:

To update drivers using Windows Update

  1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.
  2. In the left pane, click Check for updates.
  3. On the Select the updates you want to install page, look for updates for your hardware devices, select the check box for each driver that you want to install, and then click OK. There might not be any available driver updates.
  4. On the Windows Update page, click Install updates. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

If that didn't work try:

To Download and Update the Graphic Drivers Yourself

  1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Device Manager, and then, expand the Display adapters entry.
  2. Double-click the adapter under the expanded entry.
  3. Click the Driver tab, click Update Driver, and then follow the instructions. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Shell Execute error

First remove all Star Stable files (Computer>Local disc>User>Public>StarStableOnline or Computer>Local disc>User>StarStableOnline) from your computer, then install the launcher, and when the info screen about the file problem pops up, please pick the REPAIR option, instead of clicking next. You can also try going to "Library" and searching for "Star Stable". You will find the Star Stable file, right click on the file and click on "Execute as administrator".

Why do I always lose connection to the game server?

This could mean that your internet connection is unstable. If you have a wireless connection you can try using a network cable instead, this can make the connection more stable. If the problem persists, contact Customer Service.

How do I uninstall Star Stable?

In order to uninstall the Star Stable Launcher, below you will find a guide on where you might find this folder.

    Please follow these steps:

  • Open “Programs and Features” by clicking the Start button, then clicking Control Panel.
  • Clicking Programs and then clicking Programs and Features.
  • Select “Star Stable” and then click Uninstall which is located in the upper part of the window.
  • In the dialog that appears, select Remove, click Next and then Yes to confirm.
  • On your harddrive, go to the C:\Users\Public – If there is a folder called “StarStableOnline”,
  • Reinstall: Go to www.starstable.com. Log in, click “Play Now” and follow the instructions to install.
  • If you have Windows XP

  • Click the Start button and then Control Panel.
  • Click the icon "Add or Remove Programs".
  • Search the list of installed programs "Star Stable" and click the Uninstall button.
  • After uninstalling Star Stable go to the following folder: "C: \ Documents and Settings \ All Users \
  • Application Data" and delete the "StarStableOnline" folder.
  • Reinstall: Go to www.starstable.com. Log in, click “Play Now” and follow the instructions to install.

MAC

On Mac OS x 10.10 and later versions: Open the application folder and drag the Star Stable icon to the Trash Go to the folder – Application Support which you can find by opening the Application folder and click on Macintosh HD>User>”Your User”>Library>Application Support. Find the Star Stable folder and then drag it to the Trash. Empty the Trash. Reinstall: Go to www.starstable.com. Log in, click “Play Now” and follow the instructions to install. In previous versions of Mac OS as Lion (10.7.5) or Mountain Lion (10.8) you need to go to: Go> Utilities> Terminal. Once opened, type the command: chflags nohidden ~ / library / and press Enter to make the Library visible. Then you can close the terminal and follow the steps to reinstall in Mac listed above.

Can I play Star Stable on a tablet or smartphone?

No, we currently only support Windows and Mac computers, but we will keep our users informed if Star Stable becomes available on tablet or smartphone in the future.

Can I play Star Stable on a Linux computer?

We are sorry, but currently we only support Windows and Mac computers.

How do I take care of my horse?

When you create a character and begin to play Star Stable, you will be introduced to the character of Justin Moorland in Moorland Stable. How can I make my horse jump?

The ability to jump is an exclusive feature available only to Star Riders. After level 5 you will be given a quest by Justin Moorland, located at Steve's farm, and that is when you learn how to jump.

How do I move server?

To view the servers that you are eligible to move to, please use the Move Server function on our website: After you log into your account, please click your name on the top right hand corner then My Account. Click on Move Server. If your desired server should be unavailable, it might be because it it full. Please check consistently to see if it becomes available in the future. If the server is outside of your region, you’re not able to move at all.

Can I change the name of my character?

It is not currently possible to change the name of your character.

How do I change my club name?

It is not currently possible to change your club name.

How do I change my horse’s name?

You can change your horse’s name by visiting a Horse Notary. They can be found at Silverglade Village, Fort Pinta and Jarlaheim. However it will cost 135 Star Coins.

How do I sell a horse?

  1. In order to sell a horse, start by removing your character from sitting on the horse.
  2. Next, remove all equipment, including the horseshoes from the horse's Character Sheet.
  3. Go to the notice board in your stable and click on it.
  4. Then click on My horses.
  5. There you will find a list of all your horses - choose the one you wish to sell, then click Sell this horse!. For the sale of a horse, you will receive 2500 Jorvik Shillings.
  6. Click on Yes to confirm the sale of horse.

How do I sell equipment and clothes?

In order to sell an item, visit a shop and drag the item to the box with the money icon that is located at the right bottom corner. Please do not sell quest items. Once sold, we are not able to restore back.

Is there a way to earn Star Coins?

You cannot earn Star Coins. Star Riders receive a weekly allowance every weekend, and additional Star Coins can be purchased from our website. We sometimes run promotions in our Gift Shop as well. We will always inform you on our website when these offers are running. We may also send emails and post on Facebook too, so make sure you check regularly.

Why don't I have any available quests?

If you are a Star Rider and don't have any available quests, you may have completed all available quests for the moment. However, we are constantly updating the game with new fresh content and exciting quests. We will always publish details of the new quests here.

When can I unlock Golden Hills Valley?

To enter Golden Hills Valley you need to be at least level 14 and will have already completed certain quests. If you are above level 14 and have not yet unlocked Golden Hills Valley, do not worry, just keep doing all available quests in the quest log, and soon you will unlock Golden Hills Valley.

When can I unlock Dino Valley?

To enter Dino Valley you need to be friendly with Valedale and you have to had completed the quest where you help Nic Stoneground fly away with his balloon.

When can I unlock Epona?

To enter Epona you will need to have completed the following:

  • Have helped Helga with her summer cottage.
  • Be friendly with the GED Jarlaheim Office and have left Ms. Drakes report about GED’s future plans to Herman.
  • Have helped Nic Stoneground with the exploring of Dino Valley.

When do the Championships run?

You will receive a notification 90 minutes before the start of a Championship. We will send regular reminders up to 5 minutes before the start of the Championship. The Championships can be found throughout Jorvik.

Where can I find the Lifetime shop?

The Lifetime Shop is located in Moorland and is for Lifetime Star Rider Members only.

Why can't I see my friend in the game?

Most likely you are not placed on the same server (see Can I change servers so I can play with my friends?). Make sure you are not on each others ignore list.

Where can I find all the stars in Star Stable?

The locations of all the stars are secret, and we can't spoil the surprise! See if you can find them all, but remember to keep them a secret! Have a look at our YouTube page

Rules and Safety

Password Safety

Please remember you are responsible for not sharing your account information to anyone, including the Customer Support team. Be sure to logout of Star Stable once you are done. Changing your password frequently is also advised. Asking for personal (account) information may result in bans.

Why do some words get blocked in the chat?

A chat filter is applied on all of our servers to ensure all chat is safe and friendly, to maintain a pleasant environment for everyone. Sometimes, words get blocked even if they are not bad because our smart chat filter will recognize it as similar to a blocked word.

How can I block a player?

Click on the player you want to block, and then chose Ignore in the menu. After that you will not see the player, and you will not be able to communicate. You can also un-ignore players by opening your friends list and clicking “ignore” and removing them from that list.

What should I do if a player behaves inappropriately?

Block the player who is acting inappropriately by clicking on Ignore, then contact Customer Service and report the player. Please make sure to add as much details as possible to the Customer Support team. Such as the name of the player, the issue and a screenshot.

What happens if a player gets reported to the Support Team?

The Customer Service Team will go through the chat logs and if Terms and Conditions has been violated, Customer Service will take actions against that player.

How do I recognize staff members from Star Stable in Game?

A staff member will always have the name Game Master online. A Game Master text will appear in yellow. A Game Master will never ask for your password or other personal information. Please report any suspicious behavior to the Customer Service team.

Can I share my account details with my friends?

No. As the owner of the account, you are held responsible for anything that is happening on your account and therefore you should NEVER share your password with anyone (even if it means not giving it to your best friend).

If anyone on your account:

  • Uses foul language or abuses other players.
  • Pays using stolen payment information.
  • Reverses payments.
  • OR breaks ANY of our rules.

Your account will be subject to disciplinary action which can include suspension or permanent bans.

How do I redeem my codes

You can redeem your codes by logging into your account on our website. Once you are logged in, click My Account then you will see Redeem Code. Enter your code there and click Redeem.

When is the next Free Star Rider offer?

We can never really tell you when the next Free Star Rider off will be, but we will always inform our users with an email containing a redeem code granting Free Star Rider for a period of time.

Please bear in mind as a Free Star Rider, you will not receive the weekly 100 Star Coins. Also you will not be able to explore every location on the map as some places require a certain level to enter. So always check your mail, our Facebook and our news page!

What is the Wednesday update?

In order to put new fun content in the game, we need to take the servers down for a period of time. When everything is in place and working properly, we open up the servers. This is one of the features that makes our game so popular and unique! Check out the News section to find out the next update!

How long is the Wednesday Update?

Normally the servers are down a short period of time but it also depends on what type of update is being made. It’s well worth the wait! Or..If you are lucky we will do it while you’re asleep!
