  • When you register an account, an email is sent to your email address to confirm your account. If you have not received a confirmation email, try to re-send it from the My Account page.

    Remember to check your spam or junk folders, as this email could have ended up there.

  • If you have forgotten your password you will have to create a new one. Follow these steps:

    1. Go to the login page on our website and click the link Reset your password.
    2. Enter your registered email address.
    3. Go to your inbox and follow the instructions.
  • To change your password, follow these steps:

    1. Go to My Account and Settings. Click on the link Change password from the Account section.
    2. Enter your registered email address.
    3. Go to your inbox and follow the instructions.
  • You can subscribe or unsubscribe from our newsletters on the My Account page, under Settings and Email section.
  • To change your email address you need to contact our Customer Support team, who will provide you with further instructions. If you can’t access the email account you used to sign up, you can contact our Customer Support team using a different email address.

    Please note that we’ll only change the email addresses of players who have a Star Rider package, and only after verifying that they are the owner of the account. Unfortunately we’re unable to change the email addresses of free accounts for security reasons.

  • Your account can be suspended for various reasons. It could be because:

    • You were misbehaving on the chat
    • You were using bugs to your advantage in the game
    • You tried to use cheat engines
    • You made one or several chargebacks on your account

    If you have questions regarding your suspension, please contact our Customer Support.

  • You can request the deletion of your account by contacting our Customer Support, who will provide you with instructions.

  • If you forgot what email address you used to sign up, try searching your different email inboxes for the verification email we sent you when you created your account. If you can’t find it, contact our Customer Support team who will try to find a way to verify that you are the owner of the account in question. If they’re unable to verify you, you won’t be able to receive any details about your account.

    If you want to reset your Star Stable password but can’t access your email account, contact our Customer Support team and ask for an email address change. The team will then provide you with further instructions. If they’re unable to verify you as the account owner, you won’t be able to change your email address.

    Please note that you can’t have several Star Stable accounts linked to the same email address.

  • In the first few levels of the game, you will be taught how to care for your horse by Justin Moorland. To know more about this, watch this short video tutorial

  • The ability to jump is an exclusive feature available only to Star Riders.

    After level 5 you will be given a quest by Justin Moorland, located at Steve's farm, and that is when you learn how to jump.

  • It is not currently possible to change the name of your character.

  • It is not currently possible to change your club name.

  • You can change your horse’s name by visiting a Horse Notary. They can be found at Silverglade Village, Fort Pinta and Jarlaheim. The change will cost 135 Star Coins.

  • Before you sell a horse, make sure this is really what you want to do – you cannot get your horse back if you change your mind!

    1. Place the horse you want to sell in your Pasture and double-click on it.
    2. Remove all equipment, including the horseshoes from the horse's Character Sheet.
    3. Click on Sell this horse! You will receive 2500 Jorvik Shillings for the sale of your horse.
    4. Click on Yes to confirm the sale of horse.
  • In order to sell an item, visit a shop and drag the item to the box with the money icon that is located at the right bottom corner.

    We do not recommend selling quest items, because once sold, you will not be able to buy them again and they cannot be restored.

  • If you cannot see a friend who are also playing Star Stable, it could be because you two are not on the same server. You can see which server you are playing in the Server section from Settings in My Account. Both of you should also make sure you haven’t added each other to your Ignore lists. Go to your friend list in the game and take a look at the tab Ignore.

  • No. Horses can only be purchased with Star Coins.

  • You cannot earn Star Coins. Depending on your Star Rider-subscription you can receive Star Coins as a weekly allowance every weekend and additional Star Coins can be purchased from our website. You can also find special promotions on Star Coins in the Store.

    We will always inform you on our website when these offers are running. We may also send emails and post on Facebook too, so make sure you check regularly.

  • If you experience players who are misbehaving, or simply aren’t following the rules at Star Stable, you should add this player to your Ignore list. Click on the player you want to block and choose Ignore from the menu. Once the player is blocked, he/she can’t contact you anymore and you will no longer see that player in the game. In some cases, it could also be a good idea to report the player to our Customer Support. Make sure to give us their full character name and explain why you are reporting them. We encourage you to send screenshots with your reports to help us process it faster.

  • No. Players are not allowed to recreate or exploit bugs that will give them a certain advantage in the game. If you are caught using bugs, your account could be suspended. The use of certain bugs could also affect your game files and could make it impossible for you to play.

  • You will encounter many different characters or groups with whom you can build up your reputation. These are called factions. You will need to reach certain levels of reputation with certain factions to unlock new quests, areas, horses and items. You will know that you need to improve your reputation to unlock a new quest when a character has a heart symbol above their head. Talk to the character to know what to do to improve your reputation. You can see which factions you’ve encountered and your reputation progress in your Character Sheet.

  • To enter the Valley of the Hidden Dinosaur, you need to be a Star Rider and:

    • Be at least at level 16.
    • Have the reputation level Friendly with Valedale.
    • Have completed the quest where you help Nic Stoneground fly away with his balloon.
  • To enter Epona, you need to be a Star Rider and:

    • Have helped Helga and her family with their summer cottage.
    • Have the reputation level Friendly with the GED Jarlaheim Office and have given Ms. Drake’s report about GED’s future plans to Herman.
    • Have helped Nic Stoneground with the exploring of Dino Valley.
  • To enter Goldenhills Valley, you need to be at least level 14 and will have already completed certain quests. If you are above level 14 and have not yet unlocked it, do not worry, just keep doing all available quests in the Available tab of your quest log until you unlock Goldenhills Valley.

  • To be able to run Star Stable without any interruptions, your computer needs to match some technical requirements. The first list tells you the absolute minimum, basic requirements, and the second list tells you what you ideally need to get the best shot at a smooth-running game. These are minimum requirements, and it’s of course even better if you have later, more recently released technology than what we list here for you.

    Basic system requirements for PC:

    • OS: Windows 7 (32- or 64-bit), with the latest Service Packs
    • CPU: Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 (K8) 2.6 GHz
    • RAM: 2 GB
    • Free Disk Space: 5 GB
    • Video Card: Intel HD Graphics or AMD/ATI Radeon HD Graphics with OpenGL 2.1
    • Sound Card: Yes
    • Internet Connection: Yes

    Ideal PC specifications:

    • OS: Windows 7 (32- or 64-bit), with the latest Service Packs
    • CPU: Intel Core i3 or AMD Athlon II (K10) 2.8 GHz
    • RAM: 4 GB
    • Free Disk Space: 5 GB
    • GeForce 2xx Series or AMD Radeon HD 5xxx Series (Excluding Integrated Chipsets) with OpenGL 3.3
    • Sound Card: Yes
    • Internet Connection: Yes

    Mac players will need at least OS X 10.7.5 to be able to run the game.

  • If you experience repeated crashes when playing or when starting the game, follow the instructions given below.

    Windows 7/8/10 users

    Make sure the drivers for your graphic card is up to date by following the instructions below.

    Update the drivers using Windows Update.

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click Check for updates.
    3. On the Select the updates you want to install page, look for updates for your hardware devices, select the check box for each driver that you want to install, and then click Ok. There might not be any available driver updates.
    4. On the Windows Update page, click Install updates. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    If that didn't work, try downloading and updating the graphic drivers yourself:

    1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Device Manager, and then, expand the Display adapters entry.
    2. Double-click the adapter under the expanded entry.
    3. Click the Driver tab, click Update Driver, and then follow the instructions. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    4. When the info screen about the file problem pops up, choose the repair option.

    If that doesn’t help, you can also try going to Library and searching for Star Stable. You will find the Star Stable file, right click on the file and click on Execute as administrator.

    If you still experience issues with the game, here are some other things you can try:

    • Close all other programs and applications running on your computer and restart Star Stable.
    • Reinstall Star Stable

    If the problem persists after trying everything on this list, contact our Customer Service and give as much information regarding your issue as possible, such as when the crash happened, how often it happens and if you receive any specific error message when the game crashes. A screenshot of the error message would also help!

  • To uninstall Star Stable and its launcher, follow these steps.

    If you have Windows

    1. Click Start button, then click on Control Panel.
    2. Click on Programs and Features.
    3. Select Star Stable and then click Uninstall which is located in the upper part of the window.
    4. In the dialog that appears, select Remove, click Next and then Yes to confirm.
    5. On your hard drive, go to the C:\Users\Public – If there is a folder called StarStableOnline, you should remove it.

    If you have Mac OS x 10.10 and later versions:

    1. Open the Application folder and drag the Star Stable icon to the Trash.
    2. In the Finder’s menu, click on Go, then on Go to Folder and enter the following command:  ~/Library/Application Support/
    3. Find the Star Stable folder and then drag it to the Trash.
    4. Empty the Trash.

    If you have previous versions of Mac OS as Lion (10.7.5) or Mountain Lion (10.8), you will first need to make the Library visible as it is hidden by default on these operating systems. To do this, follow these instructions:

    1. Click Go, Utilities, Terminal. Once opened, type the command: chflags nohidden ~ / library / and press enter to make the Library visible.
    2. Close the terminal.
    3. Then, perform the steps previously mentioned for later Mac OS X versions.

    Reinstall Star Stable for Windows and Mac:

    • Visit our website and log in to your account.
    • Click the green button Download and follow the instructions.
  • No, we currently only support Windows and Mac operating systems.

  • You’ll find lots of cool Star Stable merchandise, as well as gift cards, for you and your friends in our online store. To visit the store, click on the link Store in the navigation on our homepage.

    If you order a physical gift card along with other products, you will receive them separately. Unfortunately our gift cards cannot be shipped together with the other products in the Store.

    You cannot redeem gift card codes purchased from the Store of a different country than the one your Star Stable account is registered in.

    Always remember that offers from our website cannot be combined with offers from the Store.

  • You will need to contact our Customer Support to request a refund or dispute any transaction made on your Star Stable account. We will issue refunds if you have not used the purchased goods and if you request the refund within 6 months of purchase.

    Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds on mobile or Paysafecard payments.

    Chargebacks and payment reversals (where you have requested the refund through your payment provider) are not a valid way to request refunds and could result in the permanent closing of your Star Stable account.

  • If you have any questions regarding a transaction on your Star Stable account, please contact our Customer Support.

    Chargebacks and reversals where the customer's card issuer forcibly reclaims money from a previously completed transaction are not encouraged, and as such Star Stable Entertainment AB reserves the right to block access to – or close completely –  any Star Stable account where any such claims have been invoked.

    Unauthorized chargebacks from the Store will also result in your Star Stable account getting banned.

  • You can try out Star Stable for free up to level 5. To unlock the game and get full access, you’ll need to buy a subscription and become a Star Rider. All our subscriptions, except for the Pay Once and mobile subscription, will renew automatically with the same period as the initial subscription until it’s cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time on the My Account page.

  • To cancel your subscription, log in to your Star Stable Account, go to Settings under My Account, then click Cancel Subscription.

  • When you cancel your subscription, you cancel recurring payments. You will still be a Star Rider the remaining time that you’ve already paid for. Once your Star Rider subscription expires, you will still be able to play in the starting areas of the game, and you will not lose any of your game progress. However, you will no longer have access to all areas in the game.

  • A payment can be rejected for various reasons. You could be using a card we do not support, you have entered the wrong payment details or your bank might have rejected the transactions.

    We do not currently accept VISA Electron, prepaid VISA cards or prepaid Mastercards.

    If you are trying to pay with your phone, your transaction could be rejected because we do not support your provider, you have made too many attempts in a short period of time, you do not have enough credit on your phone or your phone subscription does not allow you to make purchases.

    For players living in the United States, your bank could have rejected the transaction because we are based overseas and has flagged it as fraudulent. You will need to contact them to resolve this issue.

  • Please check the status of your payment in the section Purchases on the Settings page of My Account.

    If your payment status is Failed, then please retry. You should not have been charged for this transaction.

    If the status is Pending, it may be taking some time to get confirmation from your bank.

    Please wait up to:

    • 3 hours for credit card and PayPal payments
    • 24 hours for mobile payments
    • 10 business days for bank transfers

    If the payment’s status does not update after that time, then your transaction has failed and you should try again. However, if you were charged, but the status remains Pending, contact our Customer Support with a proof of the charge.

    If the status is Approved but you still haven’t received your purchase, then please contact our Customer Support.

  • Adyen is our third-party payment provider we use to process our credit card payments, e-wallets and bank transfers. We use their hosted payment page functionality inside our webpage to provide completely secure and encrypted payments, which is why you may see their name in the URL.

  • With our new payments system, we have enabled the possibility for you to save your payment information for convenient use later on. However, this does not mean that we store your credit card information on our database. Your credit card details are handled and kept safe by our third-party payment provider, Adyen.

    If you would like to take advantage of this, then please make sure to select the Save my details checkbox when entering your card details.

  • You can remove your saved cards by starting a transaction and selecting the saved card you wish to remove, then clicking on the X button next to the card number.

    Note that this will not cancel your recurring subscription, only remove the credit card details from the payment options. If you wish to cancel your subscription, please go to Settings in the My Account page on the website.

  • We offer many different payment methods and depending on your country of residence, you will have different options to choose from. You will see all our payment methods available to you once you have clicked on the pack you wish to buy.

  • The Double Star Coins Weekend is a recurring offer that happens once a month. When you buy one of the packs on our website during a Double Star Coins Weekend, the amount of Star Coins included in your purchase will be doubled. For example, if you buy 100 Star Coins during the Star Coins Weekend, you will receive 200 Star Coins.

    Please note that the Double Star Coins Weekend offer does not apply to purchases made in the Store.

    When we will hold a Double Star Coins Weekend, it will be announced on our News page, as well as on our Facebook page. The Customer Support team will not be able to tell you when the next offer will be, so keep an eye on these two pages to stay updated.

  • To use two cards, you will only need to create an account on Paysafecard’s website and add your Paysafecards to your wallet. You will then receive a new code to use to complete your purchase on our website.

  • Pay Once gives you full access to the game as a Star Rider for as long as Star Stable online is running. On top of all the benefits you already get as a Star Rider, you’ll also get access to the Bonus Shop in the game where you will find exclusive equipment, only available for the Star Riders who have the Pay Once-subscription.

  • We can never really tell you when the next Free Star Rider offer will be, but we will always inform our users with an email containing a redeem code granting Free Star Rider for a period of time. So always check your mail, our Facebook and our news page!

    Please bear in mind as a Free Star Rider, you will not be able to explore every location on the map as some places require a certain level to enter.
