Temperatures have dropped in Jorvik!

Hey StarFam! Colder weather has brought an icy change of scenery, making the magic of the Northern Lights look even more special. Now is your chance to explore Jorvik in a completely new way!

Watch your step!

For the first time ever - the winter weather has gotten cold enough for the rivers and lakes of Jorvik to freeze! Valedale Lake, Silversong River, and Mistfall Lake are all frozen solid. You are welcome to walk, slip or slide across them. Just tread carefully!

An extra tip for those of you who are diligently working on your race training–the ice has provided new, chilly paths for you to get between races! Be sure to make use of these shortcuts before the winter event is over!

New Winter Festivities!

The frozen lakes have set the stage for an adorable, new festivity! Look out for the Northern Lights to guide you to a group of baby penguins on ice. They are waiting there to show you their talents! Each penguin has practiced very hard to be able to sing one note perfectly. If you click them, they will joyfully sing it for you. You can try to play your favorite song if you are musically inclined. You can also experiment by creating your own song!

If you want to enjoy music with friends, you can attend the penguin concert! Find the penguins on the concert stage where their songs can be heard by you and nearby players!

That’s not all the frozen fun there is to be had. Snow cannons can also be found in Jorvik. Gather your friends for a friendly snowball fight. Snowballs won’t be the only things flying through the air!

Some of Jorvik’s animal friends are having trouble finding their way home! It will be your instinct to rush to help them, but that might cause the animals to flee. Eventually they will sense your caring spirit as you help them find their way.You will be rewarded with Warm Wishes if you succeed in helping your furry friend find their family.

All of these festivities have been added to the rotation of winter festivities that are already released. Don’t forget to look for the Northern Lights and visit Jorvik at different times to try them all.

Winter Village

Remember to check under the Yule Tree before winter’s end! The sleighs traveling to the Winter Village will leave Jorvik during the Wednesday update on January 13th.
