Game Update

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Hey StarFam! Can you feel that familiar chill in the air? Can you hear the sleigh bells jingling? That can only mean one thing - winter has arrived in Jorvik!

Winter is here to stay until the Wednesday update on January 13th. For you summer lovers, don’t fret! If you head over to any home stable you will find a little helper to turn off the cold, dark nights.

Winter Festivities Galore

A new friend is eager to meet you - the baby Yule Goat! This little one will be hard to miss as she tends to follow people around. Don’t worry, she’s not lost. She only wants to introduce you to winter fun and get your holiday journey started.

Once you complete this quest there is much to discover! Jorvik will have 9 unique, winter festivities every day. Festivities will be released 3 at a time every hour - one in a free area, one around Silverglade, and one in an unlockable area! Then they will rotate every hour. Make sure to visit Jorvik at different times throughout the day to enjoy them all!

How can you find these festivities? Just look to the sky! The Northern Lights have appeared to guide you. Some festivities are for you to relax and enjoy, like cozying up for a story in the stables. Others are for you to create your own fun with friends, like getting toasty by a bonfire. We also have games for you adventure seekers. One thing is for sure...there is an activity for everyone!

Baby Yule Goat tends to get bored and wander off when you take too long to start her quest. If you log out and back in, she will come find you again!

As things grow colder, our wishes grow warmer!

Every time you complete a festivity or race in the Winter Village, you will be rewarded with Warm Wishes! You exchange these Warm Wishes for prizes, ranging from a brand new outfit to XP for your horse - maybe even a cute companion? The Big Yule Goat is happy to exchange your Warm Wishes for you so make sure to get out there and collect them!

Magical Winter Horses!

Have you been lucky enough to spot the Heidrun?! The Heidrun is a rare sighting in Jorvik as it usually hides out amongst higher altitudes. Heidrun’s snow leopard-like spots help it blend into stony rock faces, while its deft hooves and agile limbs were made to scale the Mountains of Jor! The Heidrun doesn’t often descend from Jorvik’s mountaintops, but the charm of the Winter Village was hard to resist!

The Heidrun is shy, so it only shows its true, magical colors in the wild. If you are lucky enough to see Heidrun’s magical form, you will witness its breathtaking spotted coat and horns! In populated areas, Heidrun resembles a Curly horse. It can even do the Curly Shuffle! This gait is similar to the Icelandic horse’s tölt. In order to get going with your Curly Shuffle, make sure the horse is at a walk. Then hold down the SHIFT key while making the horse go faster and ta-daa – your horse is shuffling!

Heidrun will be yours for 850 Star Coins and is only available for as long as the Winter Village is open!

Heidrun is just as beautiful in its magic form as in its normal one!

Some of you might remember the Brinicle! This beautiful horse is sometimes known as the Floe Unicorn by Wild Wardens due to its special, frozen mane. It’s also known to be the most cold-blooded of all known horse breeds, so touch this frosty fur at your own risk - it’s super chilly! Brinicle is a magic horse, which means its colors change depending on your location on Jorvik. Out in the wilderness, the Floe Unicorn flourishes, while it takes on the form of a beautiful roan draft whenever you enter more populated areas.

Brinicle will be yours for 599 Star Coins and is only available for as long as the Winter Village is open!

Brinicle has returned to the Winter Village!

Fawncy has also returned to the Winter Village! Fawncy is believed to originate from the Meander area up north of the North Link. This skittish fellow has a heart rate twice as fast as a normal horse and has evolved to be almost completely odorless to better avoid forest predators.

This deer-like sweetheart blends in perfectly amongst Andalusian horses while in populated areas of Jorvik while its magic shines through in wild places. You wouldn’t believe it if you first saw Fawncy, but it actually knows how to perform a perfect Spanish Walk, just like the Andalusians! To perform the Spanish Walk, hit the spacebar while your Fawncy is standing still. Fawncy is resistant to the harsh cold of Dino Valley.

Fawncy can be adopted for 950 Star Coins and is only available for as long as the Winter Village is open!

A wild deer or a sassy Andalusian? A Fawncy gets you both!
