Incoming Chat Changes!

Greetings, StarFam!

We’ve previously rolled out some changes to the chat filter on some servers, and now it’s time to update the chat of even more servers! All servers based in the following countries have now taken part of this change:

★ USA
★ Australia/New Zealand
★ Germany
★ Poland
★ Sweden
★ Hungary
★ The Netherlands
★ Norway
★ Finland
★ Denmark
★ Russia
★ Spain
★ Portugal
★ Italy

These changes are part of a test pilot we're running to improve your chat experience in the game!

We've heard your frustrations, and as part of the on-going process to ensure the safety and security of our community, we feel these changes are a better compromise between being safe and having fun.

The first thing you'll notice while chatting on any of the affected servers is that any message not approved by the new filter will not be delivered to the chat. Instead, you'll see a notice that reads: "Your message was not approved for chat." This notice alerts you right away that something wasn't right and allows you to correct your wording, without fear of a confusing warning or suspension sneaking up later.

Since this is currently a testing phase, the filter will not be entirely accurate right away and we do expect some mistakes. Our team will continue to implement changes in the coming weeks as we work hands-on with the new system. Your feedback and reports are critical to us while we make these adjustments! If you see anything you would like to report, please use the Report a Player feature or contact form if Report a Player is not available on your server.

Remember, the servers based in countries not listed above will still function the same as always. Once we feel the new system works as it should, we will release it on additional servers and in more languages. Stay tuned!
