This is Halloween!

Hi StarFam! One of the most appreciated events on Jorvik is no doubt the spookiest of them all – Halloween! Some new things seem to be going on, which might lead up to the creepiest Halloween celebration yet...

The Halloween celebrations of 2018 will last until November 7th. Some of the content might be a bit scary for our youngest players, so we encourage you to take the opportunity to play with a friend or a parent!

Welcome to Galloper’s Keep!

Have you heard the legends about Galloper Thompson? This spooky, headless rider is said to haunt Jorvik around Halloween, and we know a fair share of riders who claim to have met him in the darkest of woods on his enormous Jorvik Wild Horse.

While no one has seen Galloper Thompson in Jorvik for almost two years, strange portals have popped up all around Jorvik, transporting whoever dares to step into them to the mysterious place known as Galloper’s Keep – the actual home of Galloper Thompson!!!

You can travel to the Keep even if you are not a Star Rider.

Here at Galloper’s Keep there are many things to do:

★ Experience what it’s like to be a Headless Horseman in a creepy, brand new race!
★ Explore two different Halloween shops!
★ So you think Galloper Thompson’s horse is pretty cool? Get one of your own!
★ Get magical powders to transform your Starter Horse!
★ Do you remember the Scarecrow Hill race? It’s back - and even cooler than before!

Collect soul shards!

In the middle of the Galloper’s Keep you’ll find a huge cauldron thirsting for soul shards. If you drop five soul shards into the bubbling emerald potion you might get yourself a reward...

You’ll find some soul shards by participating in the two races at Galloper’s Keep, and you’ll find even more by talking to the ghosts around the Keep and figuring out what locations they are talking about! If you’re very lucky you might stumble upon the shards anyway while exploring Jorvik, but the ghosts might give you some helpful hints. Every weekday you can talk to three different ghosts.

There’s a total of eight items to collect. Will you be able to find enough soul shards?

The Galloper’s Horse!

Galloper Thompson has his very own Jorvik Wild Horse, but at the Keep you’ll find another one who desperately longs for a home. This magnificent horse will look almost exactly like the Galloper’s ghostly steed when you’re exploring the wilderness of Jorvik, but whenever you’re in a more populated area the wild colors fade into a darker coat. The Jorvik Wild Horses are also slightly slower than all other horses on Jorvik. You can get this horse for 599 Star Coins for as long as our Halloween celebrations last.

Magic Horse Powders!

At one of the shops in the Keep you’ll be able to buy some epic magical powders. If you use them on your Starter Horse while standing in front of it, it will gain a cool Halloween look for a short amount of time! There are six different powders with different looks and effects – make sure to try them all to find your favorites! All players will be able to see your horse’s new look, while the special effects will only be visible to you. Whenever you use a powder on your horse, it will be active for 30 minutes unless you choose to turn it off.

These shops will also be present back in Jorvik, so you can easily stock up on cool effects.

Oh yas, the Scarecrow Hill race is back again during our Halloween celebration! But not only is it back – it is improved! Talk to the Keep’s Scarecrow (which you’ll find next to a portal) to try it out!

Galloper Thompson holds a gruesome past, and at Galloper’s Keep you can re-live some of his memories through a new, scary race where you transform into our favorite ghoul!

Halloween party at the Purple Pony!

If you find you need a break from haunted souls, shop owner Rin is hosting a Halloween party of her own at her shop called the Purple Pony in Jorvik City Mall! A lot of people turned up, so you’ll have the perfect chance to get to know some of Jorvik’s residents a bit better.

New horse overview!

Now it’s easier than ever to sort the horses in your home stable! When you enter your home stable, you’ll now find a new button on the left side of the screen. Click on it to start placing your horses! Now you and only you decide where to place your horses – no horse will be moved whenever you mount a new steed in the stable! Drag and drop your horses back and forth from the pasture to the stable to find the perfect stall for them.

It’s never been easier to find the right stall for your horse!

New app horse!

Do you need a new, cuddly friend? Then perhaps this gorgeous Fjord horse will be your new bestie! In our free-to-play app Star Stable Horses, you can raise your very own horse from a baby foal up to a level 10 horse, ready to hit the Jorvik racing tracks with you as its rider. When your Fjord reaches level 10 in the app you can transfer it to Star Stable Online for 850 Star Coins. Also don’t forget to check out all the other pretty foals in Star Stable Horses!

The Horse Market

Galloper Thompson managed to spook Eddie and Ferdinand’s horses, so the couple have their hands full trying to find them all again. They did tell us they’d be open for business at Jorvik Stables Arena from next week on though.
