A Shadowy Update!
Hey everyone, and welcome to this week’s update!
All-new Shadows: an Interview with Game Developer Rasmus!
This week, we hung out with Rasmus from our Game Design department and he told us all about the new-look shadows being added to the game.

Hey, no worries, this is really exciting!
So you’re adding shadows to Star Stable? What does that mean?
Okay, so from this week you’ll be able to switch on a new option in settings which will add shadows to the graphics of the game on certain things.
Cool! A small number of players have had some issues with their graphics lately, so can you tell us some more about these plans?
Most computers will run this update smoothly and you’ll see a real improvement in visuals and a cool new sense of added quality to the game. You can really see the difference and it makes your whole experience in Jorvik way more beautiful! Plus, there’s always the option to turn them off if your FPS rate seems reduced. The new shadows will run smoothly on most ordinary home computers running OpenGL 3.0 or higher.
Okay, awesome! So what will I see shadows on and where?
Well right now you’ll see shadows added to everything in the game that would have a skeleton in real life. That means your character and the other residents of Jorvik as well as your pets and your horses. You’ll see the shadows absolutely everywhere in Jorvik except for the indoor spaces like your stable and the Mall.
Are there any other graphic updates you can tell us about?
Yeah, well we’re always working hard to improve everything and sometimes that just means doing stuff in the background to make sure stuff runs smoothly, maybe even making improvements and adjustments for players who experience issues with their graphics.
So we’re always at work to bring you new and exciting stuff, you just need to keep your eyes open for more news in the future!

Speed Bug Update
As part of today’s update, we’re releasing adjustments which we believe will fix the bug in the game where players were able to cheat their way to a hugely increased horse speed in races. We really hope this clears this issue up for you guys.
We’re even resetting the high scores lists so that you can start from scratch with fair speeds for everyone!
Buckets full of water!
Only being able to give your horse water three times before having to refill your bucket isn't very convenient, right? That's why the Jorvegian buckets suddenly can store up to twelve portions of water! Not even the thirstiest of horses will be able to empty your bucket in one go anymore!
