Game Update

The Shire gets an upgrade!

Hey, StarFam! The brand-new Shire horse has arrived in Jorvik along with some medieval bridles!

The Shire horse

The magnificent Shire is a draft horse hailing from England! Known as a gentle giant, the Shire holds records for height and strength. Other characteristics are the feathering on their legs and the impressive size of their hooves. A cold-blooded breed, Shires are inclined to work and eager to please.

Shire horses were brought to Jorvik by the Silverglade family, who prized them as grand carriage horses. Although this horse is a force of nature, its docile temperament makes it a good companion to any rider.

Medieval Bridles

There are new variations of our three medieval bridles. Each bridle now has 8 additional color variations!

★ The hackamore is a fancy bitless bridle.
★ The horned bridle is perfect for any fantasy fan.
★ The medieval bridle will make your horse look like it belongs to royalty.

Find them in the Global Store once you reach level 9.

For now, these bridles are exclusive to a handful of Generation 3 horses and all new horses going forward.

Magical Horse Rotation: Erinys and Petra

The Shire Horses aren’t the only arrival this week. Gary Goldtooth also has some visitors! Erinys and Petra, along with their bunny pets, can be found at Gary’s camp in Moorland for the next month. These magical runestone horses can join your stable for 750 Star Coins each.

★ Petra’s hoofsteps can make the ground tremble. But as Petra is a gentle soul, they don’t want to see the world destroyed by their thundering hooves. That’s why you can often find Petra standing still as a statue among nature, allowing vines and flowers to grow on their back. This relaxed attitude makes Petra an easy-going riding partner, happy to meander trails and stop to munch on moss.

★ Sometimes, dark forces can corrupt the sacred runes, crumbling these monuments. It is from these shattered sigils that Erinys was born. Erinys’ fierce and tireless nature makes them a dedicated riding companion, always eager to push their limits and become stronger and faster. Born in shadow, Erinys hopes one day to be welcomed back into the earth from which it sprung. Perhaps by bonding with this tragic steed, you can help it come a few steps closer to redemption.

Erinys and Petra in their magic form!

Runestone pets

The Happy-go-lucky Bunny leapt from a runestone with Petra—the ultimate good luck charm! The Bunny of Darkness erupted from a corrupted runestone with Erinys, wishing to see the world go up in flames. Choose the light or dark side, by adopting one of these cute companions for a fee of 400 SC each!

To make the bunnies hop next to you, place one in a saddlebag attached to your horse’s saddle and press “P”! (If you are playing on mobile, open the Horse Sheet and press the button with paw and arrow).

Erinys and Petra, along with their pets, will be in Jorvik until the Wednesday update on September 7th.

The Bonus Shop

A new item is available in the Moorland Bonus Shop to all of you who became Star Rider by one-time payment! The Admiral’s Dressage Saddle Bag is inspired by the uniform of the last Jorvegian Admiral!
