We return to the cold castle walls and blighted forest of Marchenghast.

The Story Continues

Can Margarete truly put her faith and trust in the people around her? There are secrets to uncover, and truth to be revealed within His Highness’s archives. Within the darkness of the forest, Abigail has the same goal: the truth must be unveiled.

The questlines are available for those who have reached reputation level 4 with both the Nobles and Witches. To begin the story, either Margarete or Abigail can be spoken to.

Trail of Tales!

Our new Trailblazer Track has arrived, including the Questfarer outfit - fit for going on an adventure, even one taking place around a table with friends. Time to roll for style!

To progress through the trail, points are needed! The first 12 activities (activities meaning races, quests, horse care, etc.) every day will reward Trail Points. As the points add up, sweet rewards are unlocked, a total of 25 to be exact! Everyone gathers points for this track, but only Star Riders are able to collect the rewards. More information can be found in the help section of the Trailblazer Window!

The Trail of Tales runs until the Wednesday update on May 27th. Any clothing items not collected during the Trailblazer will be available in-game in November.

We really appreciate the feedback that we have received from our players regarding the changes we made to our last Trailblazer Track! It is very helpful in how we continue to develop these tracks. One change that we are now applying, thanks to the experience from our last Trailblazer Track, is that we will now have set bonus points every weekend! Every Friday (09:00 server time) to Monday (09:00 server time), all activities will give an extra 30 points.

New Nottsoren and Outfit!

A new variation of the Nottsoren magical horse has joined the original in the Witch Village. This is a permanent addition to the game and is available for 900 Star Coins. This variation is also joined by a matching Witch outfit - the Hyla set is now available in the Global Store and Witch Village, as an homage to the loyal companions of the Saltus Coven Witches.

More Mahr!

This is no night-mahr, they’re really here; four more Mahr variations have joined the Witches! They are available for 450 Star Coins each.

Witchy Braids!

Abigail's stylish braids are now available for our players, in multiple colors! They can be found in the Witch Village and Silverglade Village hair salons.

Witch and Noble sets!

When Marchenghast was first released, we released a witch and noble set through codes on our Social Media. These sets are now available in the Witch Village and Marchenghast Castle, together with new sets to match them! For all our witches and nobles out there.

Quality of Life Update!

Last week, we released a long-sought-after update. It’s no secret that we’ve previously had issues when looking at other players in the game. They jump before they should, slide through a fence, or cut corners like never before. Last week we released changes in how we sync character actions that improved this! Now you will see players jumping over fences and poles as they should, turning where they actually turned, and starting and finishing their motions at the right moments.

We have also updated how the character position update works. Previously, it sent a message every 500 milliseconds. This caused weird situations, especially during races, where you could see players way behind you, when actually, they were in front of you. With this update, we now have a more dynamic position update based on distance (area of interest). Characters that are close will send and receive the position updates more often (25 milliseconds). We still need to account for differences in each player's latency, so their positions in reality still show a slight offset, but the gap is smaller than before. This is a big step toward better character synchronization!
