The spookiest time of year makes a return!
A Whole Lot of Halloween!
Poe the Crow is once again showing his presence on Jorvik. He resides outside the players' home stables, ready to guide them to the closest portal to Gallopers Keep! Once inside the Keep, Kasper will be a friendly ghost and offer a tour of what the haunting hub has to offer.
The Cauldron is brewing new rewards, soul flames have become agitated, and the first chapter of Galloper Thompson’s story can be discovered. Those looking for even more thrills can join the Pumpkin Hunt, race through all sorts of realms, trek along the Haunted Trailride, hunt soul shards from tornadoes, decorate their home stables with chilling Stable Customizations, and more! We’re also hearing rumors of a girl who occasionally sings an ominous song around Jasper’s Old Barn…
The Halloween Festival is hanging around until the Wednesday update on November 4th. Clothing items, horses, and pets that belong to the festival will return again in the future.
Lycan and Pharaoh!
Allow us to tell a short story…
Many generations of the Jones family have explored Jorvik's secrets that history has buried.
Among Goldenhills Valley's mountains, one adventurer embarked on a midnight mission in hopes of seeing a certain monstrous creature with her own eyes. She had heard tales of a savage horse with razor-sharp teeth and claws like those of a feral canine.
Suddenly, leaves rustled behind her. She snapped her head around, and there he was. A Jorvik Mountain Horse, but more wolf than horse. His lips pulled into a snarl, saliva dripping off his teeth. Jones scrambled backward as the horse lifted his head towards the sky and let out a howl that'd send even the bravest adventurer running, before he galloped off into the forest.
Few have ever encountered Lycan, and as far as we know, none have ever ridden him.
Another adventurer braved an ancient tomb, rumored to hold the legendary horse Pharaoh. As the entrance slid open, bats came flooding out of the cave. Jones ducked and covered her face, and when she stood up again, there he was. Hobbling into the light of her lantern, she could tell he had once been a Belgian Warmblood. Tattered bandages hung from his body, or whatever was left of it. As he met the adventurer's gaze, she felt as if she could not look away. Her lungs began to burn, her ears ringing.
Then, the horse took off. Out of the tomb, he ran onto Jorvik's hills. No longer bound to his tomb, Pharaoh is embracing life, or not quite death, among wide plains.
And Jones? She was never the same again.
These two legends have now materialized! Lycan and Pharaoh have followed the headless horseman into the Keep and are now available for 900 Star Coins and 850 Star Coins, respectively. They’re also joined by their creepy companions - Lupita the cat, available for 350 Star Coins, and Cleo the bat, available for 400 Star Coins.
Lycan, Lupita, Pharaoh, and Cleo will be in the Keep until the Wednesday update on November 4th. They will return again in the future!
Beautiful Bats!
Cleo is not the only bat that joins us! This brand new type of pet is also available in two other variations - the speedy Finnegan and the sleepy Echo! All three bats are available in the pet shop in the keep for 400 Star Coins each.
Cleo, Finnegan and Echo will be in the Keep until the Wednesday update on November 4th. They will return again in the future!
Champion Ranks!
It’s time for another season of Champion Ranks, and this time It’s a Curse! The Champion Ranks season will run from October 7th, 09:30 server time, to November 3rd, 23:59 server time. Good luck on the racetrack, everyone!
New Bonus Shop Item!
It’s the first update of the month, which means a new item has been added to the Bonus Shop in Moorland! Anyone who is a Pay Once Star Rider can claim clothes, tack, and pets in this shop.
This month it’s the Texas Turquoise bosal! For those looking to embrace the cozy country vibes.

To ensure all horses are feeling their best during the festivities, we’re hosting Happy Horse Week! All horses are now as happy as can be, and 7 days of stable care have been added. Already had stable care going on? No worries, it will stack onto existing days!
A Note on Tokens!
We want to mention that we have heard your feedback about tokens disappearing from festivals. Recently, we’ve explored new ways to distribute rewards in festivals, but based on feedback during the Western Festival, we understand this wasn't a great experience for many players. Unfortunately, we were already too far into production to incorporate that into the Halloween Festival, and we apologize if this isn't the experience you were expecting. We have a lot to consider moving forward, and we want to thank you for sharing your feedback so that we may create the best festival experience we can! We still hope you find joy in the spooky things we’ve been cooking up this year!
